Introduction |
To be responsible for leading the operations functions across the Letshego Group, in both Banking and Micro-Lending businesses. This role essentially oversees day to day operational design and activities, Policy, Regulation, Processes and Procedure adequacy and documentation, as well as driving the standardisation of Operating Model Roles and responsibilities across Group Banking Operations for optimal productivity and performance.

Specification |
•Works in collaboration with the CEO and Leadership Team to define and implement the annual operating plan that supports business goals, budget, and strategy.
•Develops, deploys, and meets Company Wide and Operational KPIs to ensure the real-time visibility and feedback on operational/business status. •Provides high-level oversight and guidance for managing risk and ensuring compliance, including the development and implementation of risk management measures across Operations and the business. •Regularly reviews and recommends improvement of SOPs, systems, tools, technologies, practices, and philosophies for business units - with intent to fully automate and implement best-practices wherever possible. •Develops and executes both long-term and short-term strategies for increased customer satisfaction, safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, working capital management, and effectively introduces new processes for growth. •Seeks to develop and mature the brand, increasing throughput and operational capacity while minimizing unnecessary costs and mistakes due to lack of strategic planning. •Drives operation efficiencies with internal and external partners to ensure best-in-class cost of services. •Provides business management leadership to cross-functional teams, including external resources when necessary. •Manages business scope, risks, and potential issues while ensuring proper resources and providing direction with a focus on communication and accountability for all team members. •Rollout automated process that have been developed within the Group to ensure consistent process across all Countries of operation. |

Requirements |
•At least a Degree in Finance / Business Administration or equivalent. A relevant Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.
•At least 10 years post qualification experience of which 4 years’ experience is at a senior role in the financial services industry •Should have broad banking experience •Excellent knowledge of operations within a banking environment •Strong P+L knowledge •Knowledge and interest in sustainability and/or zero-waste •Demonstrable strength in communication and Stakeholder engagement •Ability to develop good working relationships with across all levels. •Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience •Cross functional Leadership skills; ability to understand impact to decisions on Growth, Brand and Marketing, Product, HR, and Finance •Experience in scaling and improving efficiencies in supply chain planning and logistics •Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritise and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve goals •Ability to lead, plan and manage change •Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills •Superior organizational and problem-solving skills •Entrepreneurial by nature, dynamic by experience |
