Integration and DevOps Lead

To lead software development ( microservices, backend, Integrations and APIs) and ensure it delivers fit for purpose solutions that meet both external and internal requirements that are focussed on customer experience

7.1.Manage a team of developers as well as outsourced 3rd parties that develop solutions to grow and support digital footprint.
7.2.Identify, evaluate and implement tools needed for implemention of the processes as well as ensure complete transparency and up-to-the-minute information on the status of releases pushed to the cloud
7.3.Ensure optimal designs and documentation of APIs, microservices and integrations.
7.4.Review and accept code merges on the pipeline and maintain very high standards of code quality.
7.5.Participate in discussions on evolving the Enterprise platform to accommodate new use cases.
7.6.Active research on new technologies to use for better customer needs provision.
7.7.Mentorship of individual team members, to meet and exceed expectations.
7.8.Provide direction, training and escalation support for individual team members and support teams.
7.9.Leverage engineering practices like TDD, CI/CD and Refactoring techniques.
7.10.Put together road map for APIs, microservices and integrations in line with business objectives.
7.11.Implement pipelines for new solutions/migrations and ensure automations are in place for quality gates.
7.12.Incorporate Risk management, information and cyber security principles and best practices in the design and development life circle.
7.13.Ensure documentation is in place for all assets and process implemented.
7.14.Develop standardized operating instructions for system support and upgrades.
7.15.Automate and optimise deployment of backend microservices, APIs and integrations
7.16.Perform vulnerability remediation and risk management
7.17.Develop cloud value models, evaluating platform services, and common storage options for highest value to Letshego’s objectives
7.18.Work closely with the front-end and backend teams to help design scalable, maintainable, and user friendly products and make sure integration platform is extensible and evolves/improves over time.
7.19.Manage and coordinate the requirement assessment and determination of integration and onboarding needs for acquired businesses with the integration teams.
7.20.Host quarterly internal agile software development knowledge sharing workshops.
7.21.Ensure minimal Audit findings and identified audits are closed within agreed timelines.
7.22.Ownership and leadership of backend microservices, APIs and integrations.
7.23.Participate in an agile delivery process and assist with delivery estimates.

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information technology or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution
•At least 5 years of technology experience in Banking Sector of which at least 3 years have been in a technical role that has a multitude of business and technical demands. 2 year experience as team lead
•In-depth knowledge of Integration developments using Micro-Services API’s
•Knowledge of end-to-end implementation of CI/CD processes
•Understanding of systems automation, continuous integration, deployment, and implementation
•Strong understanding of identify protocols such as SSO, SAML, OAuth, JWT, and PKI
•Working experience and Knowledge of Agile Working and SecDevOps
•Experience with Swagger editor and YAML
•Experience with Java, spring boot programming language
•Understanding of Micro services patterns & concepts
•Experiencing working with Maven, Terraform, cloud-formation
•Experience building real time systems for financial services
•Multi-system integration using industry standards such as REST, API, JSON, SOAP
