Job Description:
Position: INTERNAL AUDITOR
Reports to: SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR
Purpose of the Job:
Analyzing data and working with senior auditor to check the financial records of companies and make sure that they conform to business and accountancy regulations and ethics.
Key accountabilities:
1. Perform & Plan Risk based audits on all operational areas of Letshego Bank Namibia with the Senior Auditor.
2. Talk to the client about what preparations they need to make, such as providing working space and access to documents.
3. Check expenditures, revenue and other financial records to ensure that all numbers are accurate, regulations are complied with, and all payments are accurately classified and recorded.
4. Attend meetings with the client and senior auditor and complete the audit report.
Thinking Requirements and Working Complexity:
1. Being well organized is vital in this role.
2. Able to work within tight timescales and often with several different departments at a time.
3. Strong analytical and excellent numerical skills and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal and good communication are required.
5. Good report writing skills.
Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
1. Grade 12 certificate (25 points)
2. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field,
3. At least one year's experience in auditing or accounts work.
4. A CPA qualification will be an added advantage.
5. Driver’s license is required
